Jenny Baltazar, MA, LMT, CPMT
Jenny is the owner of Botanica Massage & Wellness, an integrative wellness practice offering massage therapy, energy work, aromatherapy, and yoga. Jenny has offices in New Paltz and Poughkeepsie. She also does outcall massage and travels to client’s homes and several health care facilities, providing prenatal massage, postpartum massage, geriatric and therapeutic massage. Jenny received her massage therapy training from the Swedish Institute in New York City in 1999. Upon graduating, she immediately completed additional certification in prenatal and postpartum massage. She began her massage practice by specializing in the care of women, particularly in all stages of pregnancy and postpartum care. This passion grew, as she began having her own family.
Jenny’s current practice is predominantly comprised of women who came to her during their pregnancies, and continue to receive regular massage for postpartum healing, stress and anxiety relief, and/or muscular pain relief. However, she also offers cranial sacral therapy, Reiki, therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, acupressure, and sports massage for both men and women. Every session is individualized to meet her client’s healing needs.
Jenny is a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist and Infant Massage Instructor. She offers integrative, therapeutic and fun massage therapy sessions to help children and youth with stress, anxiety, sleep problems, sport injuries, digestive issues, muscular/growing pains, sensory integration challenges and tough emotions. Jenny believes in the power of touch to help children relax, breathe, focus and feel more balanced. She also offers infant massage workshops for new parents and caregivers to learn nurturing touch approaches to help with sleep, colic, digestion, allergies, colds and teething.
For many years, Jenny has studied aromatherapy; especially the therapeutic benefits of essential oils for women and children. Today, Jenny is the creator of amazing, aromatic essential oil blends for a variety of stress and pain concerns. By using organic, unsprayed, wild crafted carrier oils and essential oils, Jenny makes and sells custom aromatherapy blends and teaches families how to safely use essential oils for health and healing at home.
Prior to building her massage therapy practice, Jenny did graduate and undergraduate work in psychology, women’s health and early childhood development. Jenny worked in the areas of family counseling and child development for several years. She brings all of her experiences together to help support families. Jenny believes parenting is a delicate balance of caring for yourself and your children. She invites parents and caregivers to come for therapeutic bodywork, prenatal or postpartum massage or aromatherapy sessions with their children. Share an hour of time with your child, or you can simply receive a session and your child may play, read, breastfeed or rest beside you in the room.
Jenny is a gifted and intuitive healer with a compassionate heart and many years of experience. She finds peace and joy in being outside in nature, dancing, practicing yoga and spending time with her family. She has three incredible daughters who inspire her day after day.
